Worldwide Moves

Our network of trusted associates and agents mean we can provide worldwide moves on a door to door basis.

There are 3 main methods of moving abroad; groupage (part-load), direct removal and sole use lorry or container.

Groupage

This is where individual consignments are collected and placed in store until there is sufficient volume/consignments to fill the vehicle or container. Once there is sufficient volume, the consignments are grouped together according to destination and then loaded on the vehicle or container and is sent on its way. Delivery will be made in logistical and geographical order, going from one address to another. The delivery will be made at the convenience of New Horizons and its agents. This method is more economic than a direct removal or a sole-use service.

Direct removal

This is where your goods are collected, transported and delivered in the most time efficient manner available. Your removal will be the primary consignment but the residual space on the lorry or container is permitted to be used for the transportation of other consignments.

Sole use removal

This is where your goods are collected, transported and delivered in the most time efficient manner available, but only your belongings will be loaded onto the European lorry or in the sea freight shipping container for worldwide destinations. The majority of worldwide countries now have compulsory load disembarkation to clear customs. In these countries, because the consignment will have been removed from the container for custom clearance, the consignment will arrive at your new home by lorry.
