How we work New Horizons work in the following way with all customers: From the moment you contact New Horizons, depending on the size of your property, a Contents of House form will be sent to your contact address or email address (whichever is preferred). Please complete and return OR a pre-move survey will be arranged. From a Contents of House form, a budget proposal will be posted or emailed back to you detailing how your move will be carried out. If you decide to book with New Horizons a pre-move survey will be arranged for those living in Wiltshire, Gloucester & Oxfordshire to iron out any missing details. From a pre-move survey, this will be arranged to best suit New Horizons diary and the customer to see exactly what your move will entail; this usually takes about 30mins to an hour depending on the scale of what needs to be moved. An accurate quotation will be posted 1-2 working days later including a detailed move schedule. Should you wish to book with New Horizons a formal quotation and acceptance form will be sent. New Horizons only book moves into the diary on a “first come first served basis” on receipt of a acceptance form and payment at time of booking where formal dates have been confirmed. A receipted invoice will be issued upon receiving payment and a Confirmation of Removal letter will be sent a week before your move confirming important details e.g. commencement time of your move. New Horizons takes into consideration parking access/restriction issues, when moving anyone, as this is an important factor that can affect the plan of your move. It is not always possible for New Horizons to inspect the access of certain properties due to geographical location therefore New Horizons rely on the information supplied by the customer. If New Horizons have supplied packing materials and you would like us to collect them from you after your move, New Horizons will happily do so on a date and time of our choosing on one occasion but only in the Wiltshire, Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire areas. Kingsley says… In order to supply an accurate quotation we need to identify exactly what vehicles, staff, packing materials and mileage are required to complete your move and/or your goods into store. To identify exactly what is required we call at your home and carry out a pre-move survey. Don’t worry, we do not employ sales staff to come round and see you, we send a practical removal person to see first hand what your move entails to ensure we do not experience problems on your move day this is because we are a company that simple likes to get things right first time. Alternatively we can supply you with a budget proposal using our Contents of House form which can be emailed to you for you to complete and send back to us. We are willing to quote formally on our Contents of House form where the collection address is out of our area (not in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire) or your property has no more than two bedrooms and a packing service is not required. Please take your time to fill in our Contents of House form fully and accurately. Whether you are moving direct to your new home or moving via store the options we can quote on are as follows:
Generally we quote higher prices for peak dates and lower prices for off-peak dates; it’s just a case of what date you intend to move. To get the best price, try to avoid moving on a Thursday/Friday, at the end of the month, during school holidays or dates close to a Bank Holiday.”
